Child Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
program, to begin in winter 2015–

upon hospital credentialing and insurance empanelment). Our program serves children, adolescents,
and young adults (ages 3–24 years)
with a range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental difficulties,
with a focus on youth with anxiety
and mood disorders. Although this

The Michigan State University College of Human Medicine
Department of Pediatrics and Human Development seeks a Clinical
Psychologist to augment our clinical staff. We are a pediatric
primary care and multi-specialty department dedicated to providing
excellent patient care and medical education. This position is based
in our East Lansing campus, where we have multiple inpatient and
outpatient clinical practice sites. The faculty engages in a wide
range of both clinical and basic research with the focus of improving
the lives of the children we serve.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum one year post-doctoral,
supervised experience, licensed or license-eligible in Michigan, with
three or more years of experience working with children with ASD
and related disorders. Academic rank will be determined based
upon qualifications and experience.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with the
existing members of the Department of Pediatrics and Human
Development including the team’s Developmental-Behavioral/
Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Pediatrician currently being
recruited and to help grow and build the expanding program in
pediatric autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders. The
Department of Pediatrics and Human Development is committed to
expanding Developmental Pediatrics and in enhancing the
program. Major responsibilities include patient care: conducting
multi-disciplinary assessment, interventions, including individual
treatment (experience with behavioral interventions and/or ABA
desirable) and social skills groups, consultation to families, and
teaching of residents, medical students and potentially fellows with
opportunities in research possible.
Duties will be devoted to a combination of clinical activities including
multi-disciplinary assessments, interventions and development of
clinical programs. Requirements of this position also include
scholarly work; teaching and supervision of students in clinical
settings, as well as special assignments made by the Chair of the
College of Human Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics and Human
Development are also expectations of this position.
Background and Skills

• Experience conducting clinical evaluations with autism and
related neurodevelopmental disorders
• Training and experience with ADI-R and/or ADOS
