with the National Academy of Neuropsychology and
other organizations to create “Health Care Reform 101,” a
The Police and Public Safety Section of
Div. 18 (Psychologists in Public Service) will
host “Reaching Across the Aisle,” a conference
for psychologists who work with public
safety personnel. The event is set for Aug. 6 in
Washington, D.C., just before APA’s Annual
Convention, Aug. 7–10. The all-day conference
will be held at the Rayburn House Office Building,
one of the office buildings for the U.S. House
of Representatives. Presentations will show
how interventions used by the airline industry,
intelligence community and military can be
used to aid and treat public safety staff. For more
