ing in human neuroscience, broadly
construed, to commence August 25,
2014. Individuals with clinical or
nonclinical interests in neuroscience
(cognitive, social, developmental, or
behavioral) are encouraged to ap-
ply. We are seeking a teacher/schol-
ar who is committed to excellence
in collegiate teaching, and who pos-
sesses the interest and ability to es-
tablish an active research program
resulting in the creation and dissemi-
nation of knowledge. The successful
candidate will be expected to: teach
courses in the department’s core cur-
riculum (such as methods, statistics,
physiological psychology, cognition,
sensation and perception, abnormal,
psychopharmacology, developmen-
tal); teach undergraduate and grad-
uate courses in their areas of exper-
tise; actively engage in research;
contribute to our new master’s pro-
gram with three tracks (industrial/
organizational, clinical/counseling,
and general/experimental); advise
students; and participate in depart-
mental and university service. Essen-
tial qualifications include: a mas-
ter’s degree or equivalent with ad-
vanced ABD standing (with a clear
plan for completion by December
31, 2014) in human neuroscience or
a sub-field closely related to psychol-
ogy from a regionally accredited in-
stitution, the ability to conduct re-
search in their field, and a commit-
ment to working with diverse student
populations. Preferred qualifications
include: a Ph.D. in human neurosci-
ence or a sub-field closely related to
psychology, strong quantitative back-
ground, demonstrated teaching skills
at the collegiate level, teaching expe-
rience in core curriculum courses, a
record of published research, expe-
rience in advising and working with
college students in research, and ex-
perience in working with diverse stu-
dent populations. ABD candidates
will be hired as an instructor until
their degree is conferred. Our de-
