T32 also supports additional graduate coursework in epidemiology,
biostatistics, and nutrition science.
The Center for Promotion of Adherence and Self-Management has three
open fellowship positions. Two of
these are in a new NIH-funded T32
in treatment adherence research directed by Dennis Drotar, Ph.D. (
den-nis.drotar@cchmc.org) and involve
all Adherence Center faculty. In addition, one specialized lab-based position is available that is focused on
prospective and intervention studies
on adherence in transplantation with
Ahna Pai, Ph.D. All of these positions
afford extensive opportunities in multidisciplinary research with faculty in
clinical psychology, pediatrics, and
biostatistics. Program fellows will
have opportunities to conduct research in the following areas: measurement of adherence to treatment
including electronic monitoring, psychological and pharmacological approaches, statistical methods, including predictive models of influence on
adherence to treatment, studies of the
relationship of adherence to clinical
outcomes and evaluation of interventions to promote treatment adherence
for a range of chronic conditions and
research on healthy outcomes including health-related quality of life.
