are seeking a candidate whose research and training incorporate advanced quantitative methods. This
can include: mathematical modeling (including neural network models), and/or use of advanced statistical techniques (including mixed
effects linear modeling, multilevel modeling, and Bayesian statistics). Area of research is open. We
are particularly interested in candidates whose research would make
logical connections with our existing strengths, including perception,
language, metacognition, comparative cognition, categorization, learning, and music cognition. Applicants

The Child Study Center / Department of Child and
Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU Langone Medical Center is
looking for a faculty leader to head our collaborative Center
for Stress, Trauma, and Resilience (CSTR). CSTR focuses on
disorders that have a strong relationship to stress, trauma
and loss, such as posttraumatic stress disorder, acute stress
disorder, grief, anxiety, and depression. The main goal of
CSTR is to advance our discovery and impact for these
important areas in the mental health field. The Director will
be responsible for leading the Department’s activities related
to stress, trauma, and resilience, and forming collaborations
with related programs across the medical center, university,
and country.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record
of leadership and expertise in field as demonstrated by
publications, research funding, and overall impact of
their work. Candidate will also be eligible for an endowed
professorship at NYU School of Medicine.
