children and families with ASD

July 2014 or later. A faculty posi-
tion in the Department of Psychiatry
and Behavioral Sciences at the Uni-
versity of California, Davis and the
Mind Institute, at the rank of assis-
tant or associate professor of clini-
cal psychiatry has been opened. The
successful candidate will have both
a research and clinical background
in the treatment of autism spec-
trum disorders with a particular fo-
cus on early childhood. Candidates
must have a track record of indepen-
dent funding, including NIH funds,
strong research productivity, as well
as clinical expertise in the treat-
ment of young children with ASD,
and their families. Candidates with
a Ph.D. in clinical psychology or an
M.D. in child and adolescent psychi-
atry are required. These candidates
must have current California clinical
license, or be eligible for licensure
in California. Candidates in oth-
er disciplines, such as occupation-
al therapy, or speech and language
pathology, would also be considered.
However, they must have a Ph.D. or
equivalent doctoral degree and be li-
censed. All candidates, regardless
of discipline, must be able to devel-
op his/her own area of science with-
in a larger multi-investigator pro-
gram of research in early identifica-
tion and treatment of ASD and other
neurodevelopmental disorders. This
is primarily a research position with
opportunities for a licensed candi-
date to provide clinical care. The
candidates will also have the oppor-
tunity to teach at in-service, gradu-
ate and postgraduate levels. The po-
sition will be in the department of
Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences;
