CENTER: This person will conduct
autism-specific diagnostic assess-
ments as well as other developmen-
tal and/or educational assessments.
Duties also include: clinical over-
sight of autism treatment programs,
staff and intern training and super-
vision, clinical research, and ad-
ministrative duties related to billing
and supervision. Key responsibili-
ties: Establish the ABC of NC di-
agnostic clinic serving children at
risk for and diagnosed with autism
spectrum disorders. Conduct diag-
nostic assessments specific to autism
spectrum disorders including, but
not limited to the Autism Diagnos-
tic Observation Schedule (ADOS),
Autism Diagnostic Interview-
Revised (ADI-R), and Childhood
Autism Rating Scale (CARS), as
well as other appropriate develop-
mental and/or educational assess-
ments. Provide psychological super-
vision, when required, for individual
autism treatment programs, includ-
ing but not limited to functional be-
havior analyses, behavior interven-
tion plans, diet expansion programs,
toilet training programs, etc. Serve
on interdisciplinary teams, as need-
ed, with all staff including the ex-
ecutive director, educational consul-
tants, teaching staff, and specialized
staff (e.g., speech/language patholo-
gist, occupational therapist, etc.). As-
sist executive director with develop-
ment of policies and procedures, in-
cluding client and employee policies,

team. Facilitate student transitions
to other services when appropriate.
Work constructively and coopera-
tively with professionals from oth-

ties within and outside of ABC of NC
and stay abreast of current research
in the field of autism treatment/edu-
cation. Attend and contribute to staff,

programs/services and written ma-

Market ABC of NC programs
through community tours, research
presentations, conference partici-
pation, and vendor booths. Perform

Qualifications: (education, experience, knowledge, skills): doctorate or master’s degree in psychology. Licensed psychologist, permanent, as designated by the North

Director manages the strategic and clinical operations of all aspects of
the Center for Autism. The Center for Autism’s state of the art facility

We are seeking a candidate with a doctoral degree in psychology, education, child development or medicine. A minimum of five years experience or equivalent conducting evaluations and designing interventions
for children with autism utilizing applied behavior analysis is required.
Experience in a center-based program, start-up program or equivalent
experience in program management and supervision is preferred; ABA
certificate eligible is also preferred. Exemplary written and communication skills are required. The candidate must be accomplished in working across disciplines to establish innovative programs and in working
with external partners to advocate for individuals with autism. Research
experience in autism is necessary.
