Run or walk Ray’s Race with Div. 47
The Running Psychologists, a section of Div. 47
(Exercise and Sport) invites sponsors and participants
for the annual Ray’s Race 5K Run and Walk, set for
7 a.m. on Aug. 4 during APA’s Annual Convention in
Orlando, Fla.
The division will award prizes to the top finishers in
each age group as well as for the top male and female
finishers. Ray’s Race was named in honor of former
APA CEO Raymond D. Fowler, PhD, who founded the
Running Psychologists group in 1979. For details and

Learn about teaching research
from Div. 2 mentors
Div. 2 (Society for the Teaching
of Psychology) is offering a
workshop on how to conduct
research on teaching and
learning on Oct. 11–13 in
Atlanta. This will take place in
conjunction with the division’s
Best Practices Conference on
Research Methods and Statistics,
Oct. 12–13, also in Atlanta. The
cost of the workshop is $150
and includes all meals and
attendance at all three keynote
sessions of the Best Practices
conference. Participants will
work closely with mentors to
design a project and to consult
experts in statistics and research
